No es un mito: la irradiaci\u00f3n del dolor card\u00edaco hacia el hombro y brazo izquierdo es un mecanismo biol\u00f3gico real, conocido como dolor referido. Por eso, ante un dolor de hombro izquierdo, siempre hay que hacer una pregunta importante: \u00bfhay otros s\u00edntomas que acompa\u00f1an ese dolor?<\/p>\n    <p>Si el dolor en el hombro izquierdo aparece de forma s\u00fabita, es intenso, se extiende hacia el brazo, la mand\u00edbula o el cuello, viene acompa\u00f1ado de presi\u00f3n o aplastamiento en el pecho, sudoraci\u00f3n fr\u00eda, n\u00e1useas o dificultad para respirar, no pierdas tiempo: llama al servicio de emergencias o acude al hospital m\u00e1s cercano. Podr\u00eda ser un infarto al miocardio y cada minuto cuenta.<\/p>\n    <p>Ahora bien, la gran mayor\u00eda de los dolores de hombro izquierdo tiene exactamente las mismas causas que el derecho: lesiones del manguito rotador, bursitis, tendinitis, hombro congelado, pinzamiento.
